The Elan Valley Dams supply water to the people of Birmingham. It is a vast area of lakes, hills and moorland and has an extensive network of paths that are suitable for cycling or walking. |

The terrain of Mid Wales is amazingly varied, ranging from lush green valleys with winding streams and rivers to the wild moorland and lakes of the Elan Valley, the brooding windswept peaks of Plynlimon Fawr and Cader Idris and the spectacular Brecon Beacons.
Interesting towns and villages dot the countryside, and we are within a short drive of the spa towns of Llandrindod Wells and Builth Wells, the famous book centre Hay-on-Wye, Rhayader which is the gateway to the Elan Valley and Brecon which sits in the valley below the Brecon Beacons.
All are within easy reach of Gaer Farm. Those who love the countryside but have not yet experienced Mid Wales will fall in love with it. |
